Ever had a situation where you got the girl's phone number, but you didn't get a date after that? When you called her up she didn't sound interested in talking to you so you didn't bother asking her out. What's going on here, it doesn't make sense since you got her number right?

After you get her number, she'll be thinking about the event and anticipating when you're going to call because she has a clear image in her head of the event.
Go on an Instant Date
Who says you have to get her number, wait a few days, call for date, wait a few days again, THEN go on a date?
Skip all that and go on a date when you first ask her out if the timing's right. For instance if you meet her at a coffee shop, just casually ask her what her plans are for the day and suggest something better.

Another idea is if you meet her at a club or party. Me and my boys always go out and eat afterwards at like 3 in the morning. The night's still young, why not invite her along? By the time you're done it'll be around 5am, you can suggest that it's easier if she comes back to your place to spend the night
